Weekly Challenge – October 10th – October 17th

For this week’s challenge write a haiku about the library!

Remember a haiku is a poem that consists of three lines. The first line containing 5 syllables, the second containing 7 syllables, and the last line 5 syllables.

Put your haiku in the comment section of this blog post or post it with #hcplWeeklyChallenge. Once you have completed the challenge, enter your name in the drawing box (located in the teen room) for a chance to win a prize!

Introducing Weekly Challenges!!

I am declaring Weekly Challenges!!!!

What are Weekly Challenges you ask? Each Monday I will present you with a new challenge. You must complete and provide proof of this activity by the following Sunday night. By proof I mean posting a picture of the action or product to Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram with #HCPLWeeklyChallenge or handing me (Kristen, your friendly neighborhood Teen Librarian) the final product.

Now you are wondering why you should even do this. By completing this activity you will receive a prize drawing slip. You will fill out this slip and enter it into a prize drawing. If your slip is drawn, you will get a prize, most likely a book!

On Monday (9/19) I will post your first challenge along with the prize you could win. Get ready!
