Overdue Materials

  1. A patron may be notified of overdue material via e-mail, mail, and SMS (Text) messaging.
    1. Patrons are notified via e-mail of SMS (Text) messaging three days prior to an item's due date, and one day overdue.
    2. Patrons are notified via e-mail or SMS (Text) messaging, or mail when an item is overdue more than one week, and again when more than two weeks overdue.
    3. Patrons are notified via mail when an item is more than 30 days overdue.
  2. A final overdue notice will be mailed and e-mailed to the patron when an item is a minimum of 30 days overdue.
  3. If the item is subsequently returned, the patron will be responsible for the accrued fine (not to exceed the cost of the item). If the item is not returned, the Lost/Damaged Materials policy is followed.
