First and foremost, we want you to have fun during your visit! To help make the library a great experience for everyone, please follow these Behavior Guidelines:
- Kids 8 and under must be with a caregiver at all times.
- Kids ages 9 to 12 are welcome to explore the library on their own for up to 30 minutes.
- Use an indoor voice.
- Please walk—no running.
- Keep your feet on the floor (not on furniture or toys).
- No throwing or tossing objects.
- Enjoy snacks in the lobby only.
- Drinks are welcome in covered containers.
- Share toys, books, and spaces kindly.
- Pick up after yourself when you're done.
Does your kid sometimes find the library overwhelming? Ask about our Sensory Collection at the Youth Desk at Greenfield or New Palestine. These items are meant for use in the library and include items like:
- Fidgets
- Noise Muffling Headphones (child sized)
- Weighted items
- Calming bottles
