This is the second session in a 5-week series (2/18-3/18) in Greenfield for adults beginning yoga. Susan Goodart, a certified yoga teacher and fitness adviser, instructs the classes. Yoga increases strength, stamina, and flexibility and has been credited with improving mental health.

Use a chair or the floor depending on your abilities. Bring a mat or towel and a small pillow, and wear loose-fitting clothes. People with health issues should speak to their physicians before beginning any exercise.

Join a community of writers who gather for inspiration and support. People who attend this monthly meeting, whether they are published or not, discuss their work and give each other mutual encouragement.

Bring up to ten computer-printed pages of work to read aloud to the group and make six copies for everyone to share. First-time visitors are welcome to sit in and observe.

The library is doing some spring cleaning in the crafts closet this month. We have LOTS of leftover supplies available for you to make easy eye-catching crafts. Library staff will be on hand to provide instructions for specific crafts or you can come with your own ideas and use supplies we have on hand.

Please dress to get messy.
