This is the final week in a 5-week series (4/29-5/27) in Greenfield for adults already familiar with yoga. Susan Goodart, a certified yoga teacher and fitness adviser, instructs the classes. Yoga increases strength, stamina, and flexibility and has been credited with improving mental health.

Use a chair or the floor depending on your abilities. Bring a mat or towel and a small pillow, and wear loose-fitting clothes. People with health issues should speak to their physicians before beginning any exercise.

Teens ages 9-19, lend a hand by making child-friendly pillow cases that will comfort young patients in the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent. We'll supply tons of fun, patterned fabrics and do some basic sewing. Bring your own fabric if you'd like. Earn community service time during this event.

Teens (grade 6 to age 19), help younger kids keep their reading skills over summer break. Be part of "Teens Read the Way," a weekly program that pairs teen buddies with children, age 3-grade 5. Read with a child and do activities together that encourage a love of books.

You only need to register once for the 6-week series. The final session includes a party for the kids and their teen buddies.

A teens-only volunteer reward party with pizza & a movie follows the buddy party. Signed volunteer service-hour letters will be handed out for your portfolios.

Join a community of writers who gather for inspiration and support. People who attend this monthly meeting, whether they are published or not, discuss their work and give each other mutual encouragement.

Bring up to ten computer-printed pages of work to read aloud to the group and make six copies for everyone to share. First-time visitors are welcome to sit in and observe.
