Account Maintenance
Your account in the Online Catalog allows you to view your personal information, change your PIN, update your preferences, view checkouts and holds, and pay fines.
From any HCPL page, click on the Catalog link.
At the top of the page, click the words "My Account."
If you are not currently logged in to your account, you will need to enter your Library Card Number and PIN in the pop-up box. For help with logging in to your account, check out the How to Log In to Your Account page.
Personal Information displays the information you provided at registration, and allows you to change your PIN as well as modify certain preferences.
- To change your PIN , click click the words Change PIN. Fill out the form, and then click Update.
- To change your preferences, click the word Preferences. Make changes by selecting the drop-down tabs. Once selections have been made, be sure to click Update.
Checkouts displays your current checkouts and due dates.
To Renew Your Items, select the check box next to the item(s) you wish to renew, then click . Select Yes when a confirmation box appears.
Holds displays your current holds, including status, pickup location, and place in queue.
To Modify Your Holds, select the check box next to the item(s) you wish to modify, then click one of the buttons. You may choose to Cancel Hold(s), Edit Pickup Location(s), Suspend Hold(s), or Cancel Hold Suspensions. Place your holds on suspension for those times that you may not be able to make it into the library should your hold become available. This option is great for avoiding no-pickup fees while you are on vacation.
